EXTENDERS AND ROTATORS |

Ironwood has developed a number of extenders (and rotators) that provide PGA and MGA (.05" pitch)
connections. These parts can often be combined with a surface mount foot to move BGA, QFP, PLCC,
and SOIC interfaces.
Several example drawings of extender and rotator designs are provided below. Rotators provide physical rotation of a device and can also be incorporated in an extender's design.
We have used flexible printed circuit board material in some of our custom extenders.
Our line of standard PLCC Extenders allow the vertical extension of PLCC sockets for easy
access by emulation and test equipment. We offer several types of these and several
example drawings of PLCC extenders
like the XT-PLCC-01 pictured at left are provided below.
