Spring Pin Socket for 0.4mm pitch Exposed-TQFP128

Socket your Kawasaki Microelectronics Exposed-TQFP128 using 500K insertion Socket with Superior Electrical Performance

BURNSVILLE, MN - June, 2009 - Ironwood Electronics has recently introduced the new high performance socket SS-QFE128SD-01 for the Exposed-TQFP128 IC. The contactor is a spring pin (pogo) with 20 gram actuation force per ball and cycle life of 500,000 insertions. The self inductance of the contactor is 1.1 nH, insertion loss of < 1 dB at 11.5 GHz (<3dB at 19.3GHz), and capacitance 0.58pF. The current capacity of each contactor is 1.5 amps. Socket temperature range is -40C to +120C. The specific configuration of the package to be tested in the SS-QFE128SD-01 is QFP, 14x14mm body size, 0.4mm pitch with center E-pad, 16x16mm lead tip to tip. Fuji Electric's 96-bit PDP (Plasma Display Panel) scan driver IC (FD3298F) comes in exposed-TQFP128 configuration also. As PDP TVs achieve larger screen sizes and higher resolution, driver ICs are being requested to have higher breakdown voltage and larger current. Spring pin sockets are ideal candidate for testing larger current ICs. To use, drop IC into the socket, close clam shell lid, and apply down force using compression screw. This socket can be used for hand test and burn-in applications with the most stringent requirements.

Pricing for the SS-QFE128SD-01 is $1916 at qty 1 with reduced pricing available depending on quantity required.
