Imperium Thermal Control System
Developed specifically for low power applications, Ironwood Electronics’ IMPERIUM Thermal Control System integrates seamlessly with Ironwood’s test sockets and can be easily adapted to all sockets, providing exceptional thermal control in demanding applications. Board-to-Board Connectors for High Speed Applications
Connectors using spring pin contact technology provide up to 50GHz signal speed in a smallest footprint for prototype and production applications. These rugged interconnects utilize our laser-and-laminate process for rapid development and short lead-times, without expensive hard tooling. Connectors support pitches from 0.4mm to 1.27mm.

Embedded Wire Elastomer Sockets for High Speed Applications
SG elastomer sockets allow for very high speed testing of 0.3mm to 1.27mm pitch BGA, LGA, QFN, QFP and SOIC devices on the same footprint as other Ironwood socket technologies. Embedded Wire in Elastomer (SG) contact technology consists of a fine pitch matrix (0.05mm x 0.05mm) of gold plated wires (20 micron diameter). These are embedded at a 63-degree angle in a soft insulating sheet of silicone rubber, which decreases the required contact force.
Stamped Spring Pin Sockets for High Speed Applications
Stamped Spring Pin (SBT) sockets excel in both high insertion count and demanding thermal requirements. The SBT contact is a stamped contact with an external spring and a connecting inner leaf spring. SBT sockets offer low cost and better electrical/mechanical performance than conventional pogo pin sockets while providing a robust solution for Burn-in & Test applications.
External Spring Pin Sockets for High Speed Applications
External Spring Pin (ESS) sockets allow high endurance and wide temperature range testing of 0.3mm to 1.27mm pitch BGA, LGA , QFN, QFP and SOIC devices. The unique offset external spring enables signal pass through from plunger to PCB directly without looping through inductive spring coils. These spring probes can be customized very easily for specific test height, force, plating finish, materials, etc.
GT Elastomer Sockets for High Speed Applications
BGA sockets using GT elastomer contact technology provide up to 94 GHz signal speed in the smallest footprint for prototype and test applications. These sockets support pitches from 0.2 mm to 1.27 mm.
GTP Elastomer Sockets for High Speed Applications
BGA, LGA and QFN sockets using GTP elastomer contact technology provide up to 93.7 GHz signal speed in the smallest footprint for ATE, prototype and test applications. These sockets support pitches from 0.35 mm to 1.27 mm.

Burn-In Applications
Manufactured using precision injection-molded housings with machined inserts, Ironwood BI sockets are perfect for mid to high-volume low-cost burn-in applications, in the smallest possible footprint. Various contacts are available supporting pitches from 0.3mm to 1.27mm, for packages with or without leads.
